Like many things in life we go through changes in stages. Weight loss is no different. As you know , losing weight successfully is to change your lifestyle. This is just another way of saying that you need to change your behavior. Stages of behavior change have been studied in depth. Here is my take on the transtheoretical model of behavior change (I know, writing fantasy ) , and as befits a successful weight loss . Where are you?
precontemplation
In the first of the five stages of weight loss , people did not intend to change their lifestyle. Either they do not think there is a problem or that they are happy just the way things are . At this stage, people rationalize their thoughts. They may think to themselves " weight loss is too much work " or " life is beautiful as is" or " I do not need to lose weight to be happy.
